ABOUT US
Bidvest Microfinance Ltd
Bidvest Microfinance Ltd, was incorporated on the 7th of March 2013 under the Company’s Code, 1963, Act 179, to carry on the business of microfinance, with the company headquarters at Tesano Accra and founded by professionals with diverse expertise.
The promoters have consulted for a number of micro and small Ghanaian businesses, during which they learned that compounding liabilities posed by newness and small size together with other numerous challenges such as information asymmetries and agency costs, make it extremely difficult for these organizations to compete with large, well-established businesses for commercial banks’ attention and funding. Hence, Bidvest will bridge the wide financing gap for them, where they will be able to raise adequate working capital to commercialize their newly developed products, or to operationalize their innovative ideas.
This trend of affairs motivated Bidvest’s owners to convert from merely consultancy to microfinance to provide full-fledge financial solutions to small and micro businesses in Ghana. Bidvest believes that providing micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses with access to finance will help eradicate poverty, create jobs, and promote economic growth and development.
